All 16 hardcover volumes bound in brown, with two black spine bands with gilt lettering, marbled endpapers, each approximately 800 pages plus Index with many black-and-white illustrations throughout; interiors of all volumes are clean and unmarked. All volumes are complete, some with looseness developing in the bindings, with overall conditions varying from Fair (3 volumes thus, with both boards detached but present, heavier wear and/or staining), to Good (7 volumes, one board detached but present, some wear and light staining), to Very Good (6 volumes, light wear only, minimal staining if any); all things considered, a very presentable set of Americana.
